Overview

This large seminar spaces at the Building Centre can be arranged in a variety of styles: theatre, crescent and cabaret allowing up to 220 delegates. Rooms can be divided or opened into one large space and are acoustically insulated. 

The space has multiple screens and projectors as well as fixed cameras, allowing for unobtrusive event filming. The adjacent gallery space provides an enhanced networking environment for delegates and guests alike. 

Availability

We class a full-day as between the hours of 9am –5pm.
We class a half day as either, 9am–1pm or 1.30–5.30pm.
For an evening event, we estimate the hours to be between, 6–9pm. 

Of course, we know your event is unique and you may require hours outwith these times. It is possible to hold your event earlier in the day, and likewise, later into the night. Please state your ideal event time on the booking enquiry form below and we can discuss this with you.

Frequently asked questions 

What happens after I submit my booking enquiry? 

Once you have completed the booking form below, it gets sent to one of our event hire team. Once they have read your details, they will contact you to discuss your booking in further detail. The purpose of this call is to make sure we capture everything that you might need to make sure your event is a success. 

What happens when one of the venue hire team contact me? 

One of the dedicated team members will either call you or send an email to discuss your booking requirements. During this call they will discuss the type of event you are planning to hold, budget, numbers, audio visual needs, catering, and ask any questions you have. After this contact, you will be sent a quote for your event. Once you have signed the quote and secure the booking by paying your deposit, you are on your way to holding your event at the Building Centre. 

How do I secure my booking?
We aim to make the booking process for your event as streamlined as possible. We require a 50% deposit on the cost of the space to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due to be paid when your event is completed. 

What does the room hire charge include?
The charge includes the space, use of projector, screens, and security between 8am and 6pm. There is also the help of staff during the booking proccess and their extensive event planning experience. 

Is there disabled access?
Yes, all our spaces are fully accessible. There is a lift to the lower basement and the second floor boardroom. Please ask our team for full details and we'll aim to assist you as best as we possibly can. 

Can your seminar space be divided into smaller rooms?

Yes, our space can be divided into three separate rooms to suit your specific needs. Each room is fully contained and equipped with its own audio visual equipment.

What is the maximum capacity of your seminar space?

Our seminar space can accommodate up to 220 delegates in a seated capacity or for a part stand up and sit down function. When separated, Seminar room A accomodates up to 40, Seminar room B, up to 80, and Seminar room C, up to 60.  

What type of seating arrangements are available?

We offer a variety of seating arrangements, including theater, boardroom, and cabaret styles. We will discuss the right option with you during the booking process. 

What audiovisual equipment is provided?

Our space is equipped with a projector and screens for presentations, video conferencing, and event filming. You will find these in every variation of the seminar suites and the main gallery. 

Is Wi-Fi available for delegates?

Yes, we provide high-speed Wi-Fi for our guests. If you visit the Building Centre before your event you are able to use the WiFi for 90 minutes free of charge, so it's the perfect place to continue your event planning onsite. 

Is catering available?

We can provide catering options to suit your event requirements. We work with two catering partners, both of which use local sustainable ingredients where possible. Please contact us for more details, we know how important getting the right menu for your event can be and can offer various hot and cold options. Our catering partners offer different options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, teas and coffees. 

So, whether you would like cocktails and canapes, a sit-down meal, or a champagne toast, we will create your perfect menu. Rest assured that our award-winning catering partner is able to provide a full range of food and refreshment. 

Are there any parking facilities available?

There are no parking facilities for the Building Centre but there is a NCP car park in nearby Bloomsbury. You may also find on street parking nearby but there is no guarantee.
