Overview
The Building Centre Galleries can be turned into fantastic locations for private venue hire. Whether you need somewhere to launch a book, toast a successful year’s work, gathering attendee for a conference, stage a panel debate, or simply celebrate a great year in business, the space can be adapted to your needs.
It's a large lofty space, situated as you enter the main entrance to the Building Centre. The welcoming reception sits to the left, and there is an option to have coat rails and badge collection stations. To the right of the entrance, there is a video display for presentations, and we can elevate your event with a mini stage and microphone. The exhibitions change every few months, offering an ever-changing backdrop to events and showcases. Your guests are free to wander and mingle in between the instalations. All exhibitions are curated around the built enviroment, and we currently exhibit one annual event, Retrofit. This commercial endeavour is aimed at the retrofitting sector and seeks to promote change and inspiration to retrofit the UK's historic buildings.
With a grade II listed neo-classical facade, floodlit in the evenings, it is both an impressive and exciting place to celebrate an occasion.
Availability
The main gallery space is available for hire every week, Monday to Friday. (This is excluding bank holidays and public holidays.)
Each session has a capped time of day and we break this into morning and evening sessions and hiring the main gallery space is typically set as:
- Morning - 7 am -9 am
- Evening - 6 pm – 9 pm
We have planned countless events in this space, and are happy to discuss a bespoke booking, or extending these hours if it suits your event better. What does the room hire charge include?
The charge includes the space, use of projector, screens and security between 8am and 6pm or duration of your event.
