The Building Centre is delighted to host this innovative photographic exhibition that explores the pioneering work of Living Earth Foundation in transforming environmental problems in African slums into opportunities for sustainable urban enterprises.
In Cameroon, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone, African micro-entrepreneurs are leading the way in harnessing innovative waste recycling technologies that have positive impacts beyond the waste sector, from drainage ditch clearance to job creation, and from road building to reducing school fees.
The exhibition demonstrates the effectiveness of slum residents, local councils, and private sector working together to tackle common development challenges in African cities.
