Little Architect

Exhibitions
22 Jul–8 Aug 2015

Little Architect is an education programme for teaching architecture and the urban environment in primary schools, both in and outside London, led by the Architectural Association School of Architecture.

This exhibition showcases work developed during two specific workshops in two primary schools: St Clement Danes CofE and St Joseph RC, both in the Covent Garden area.

Visitors will be able to enjoy designs for future skyscrapers, machines to purify the air, floating fun fairs, intriguing 'Victorians versus Future' collages and bird houses.

The drawings are part of a larger project involving children from Year 1 to Year 6, teaching them to more fully understand architecture while fostering creative thinking and drawing. Little Architect invite your children – and perhaps even you! - to draw their own future building as part of an enormous future London mural.

This NLA exhibition and schools´ projects have been possible thanks to Capital & Counties Properties PLC (Capco) and their generous support to community projects which specifically benefit children's education in London.
