ICE London Awards 2012

Exhibitions
10 May–9 Jun 2012

The ICE London Civil Engineering Awards celebrate outstanding civil engineering achievement, innovation and ingenuity by companies, organisations and individuals in London.

The awards have grown over the last decade into the highest honour for civil engineering excellence in the capital. Previous winners include the East London Line, the Thames Barrier refurbishment works, The Lawn Tennis Association’s Sports Canopy, the London 2012 Velodrome and Olympic park enabling works.

A new award category has been introduced for 2012 - Engineered in London - broadening the scope of the awards to recognise the contribution of London’s engineers to ground-breaking international projects.

Winning projects had to demonstrate how civil engineering has gone beyond the technical to make an excellent contribution to the sustainable creation, improvement and nurturing of London’s physical and social environment.

The judging panel members were Sir Michael Bear, Max Fordham, Thomas Lane, Helen Nattrass and chaired by Chris wise.
