UK-China Green Hospital Design Summit

Talk
Thu 28 May 2015

China’s healthcare sector is in the process of rapid development. The Chinese government plans to invest heavily and has pledged a speedy and reforming programme. One of the National Healthcare Reform's main points is to enable more people to be included in the system and increase the number of people covered by basic medical insurance. This has resulted in a demand to build more hospitals and outpatient departments. In the next 10 years, 3,000 hospitals will be built and approximately 26% of hospitals every year need renovation and extension.

When David Cameron visited China in December 2013, Britain and China signed a package of healthcare deals and memorandums of understanding, trying to export UK healthcare expertise to China. The UK has a leading reputation around the world for modern, sustainable hospital design. This forum offers a great opportunity for healthcare experts to engage with China’s burgeoning hospital refurbishment and building programme.

Join over twenty Chinese hospital leaders to share ideas about sustainable hospital design and learn about opportunities in China.
