Bloomsbury Festival is back for 2016 with a jam-packed line-up of art, music and science, events and performances, celebrating this year’s theme of ‘language’ in one of London’s most culturally exciting neighbourhoods.
‘Step Out Store Street’, the Bloomsbury festival’s Friday night party, will see the street transformed by more than 100 artists and local dancers to become a public stage for different forms of dance.
The Built Environment Trust and New London Architecture will host an intimate evening celebrating the use of language in the built environment. Using the 12.5 metre New London Model of central London as a backdrop, live performances from a selection of London poets and spoken word artists will draw on themes of the city, urban development and London’s architecture.
See performances from:
- Lettie McKie, education manager, The City Centre (host)
- Eley Williams
- Annabel Banks
- Aki Schilz
- Peter Hayhoe
This event is free - no booking required.
Time: 6.30pm arrival, perfomances start from 7.00pm - 8.15pm
