As part of this year's Open House and London Design Festival explore the experimental Circular Building created by Arup, The Built Environment Trust, Frener & Reifer and BAM, using innovative 'circular economy' principles that could revolutionise our relationship with waste. A related exhibition, Circular Living will explain how we can design products, services and buildings with much greater sustainability. A tour and talk with the designers will take place at The Building Centre on Saturday 17 September, 12.30pm.
Also taking place is New London’s Tall Buildings talk – with Peter Murray, who is hosting a special series of free talks around the New London Model at 3.00pm each day. These talks will look at the impact, benefits and challenges resulting from existing and planned tall buildings in London. NLA will also offer free walking tours during Open House, highlighting new developments in the area. These will begin at the New London Model at 2.00pm on each day. Saturday's tour will cover Fitzrovia and Sunday's tour will cover Bloomsbury.
The Building Centre will be open Saturday 17 September, 10.00am - 5.00pm and Sunday 18 September, 11.00am - 4.00pm.
