London Housing Symposium

Symposium
Tue 12 Sep 2017

At the 2017 London Housing Symposium an international task force will publish thier radical proposals on how to fix the Capital’s rapidly deepening housing crisis.

World Architecture News and New London Architecture have pulled together a group of visionaries and innovators to scrutinise the new London Plan and examine solutions being implemented in other world cities.

Is London unique, or can we learn from other cities? As part of a global initiative, WAN’s Urban Challenge 17 sets out to gather diverse urban experience and apply this to London. Since February this year, 25 leading professionals from across the architectural, planning, engineering, finance, governance and construction sectors have been collaborating on possible solutions for London, drawing on their extensive international experience.

During the symposium the task force will present their manifesto, which will then be discussed by the panel. The keynote speech by James Murray, London Deputy Mayor for Housing and Residential Development, will be followed by an audience question and answer session.

This is a rare opportunity to engage with the task force and members of the London Assembly, to have your say in the London Plan, and to help shape a more positive outcome for London and its residents.

Spaces are limited. Book here to avoid disappointment.

The London Housing Symposium is being hosted by WAN and NLA and held at The Building Centre.
