How can children and young people learn about architecture and the forces governing it in an engaging way? How can the body and the senses be at the centre of learning opportunities in museums and educational environments, fostering an understanding of the world around us?
Join Simona Valeriani, co-curator of Shaping Space: Architectural Models Revealed, in conversation with Alf Howlid, Architect and architectural educator, and Karianne Ommundsen, education curator at the Norwegian National Museum.
Alf and Karianne will be sharing their longstanding experience at Design and Architecture Norway (DOGA) and the Norwegian National Museum (Oslo) engaging teens and children of all ages with architecture and the environment. Rebecca Goozee (V&A) will share her experience leading schools workshops alongside the Shaping Space exhibition.
This free online CPD event is for teachers of art, design, and design and technology, museum professionals, and anybody interested in architectural education and young people.
This event is part of the Shaping Space - Architectural Models Revealed programme, funded by the AHRC, led by the V&A and the Building Centre.
