Resolve, Starting At The End(z): Imprint Edition, 12-3pm
How does the distribution of and access to visual information affect us locally, despite our globalised, digitalised and now urban age? Working with a youth group, RESOLVE will challenge the young participants to collaborate, design, and build a DIY mobile printing press for different-sized, hand-made posters. More information coming soon.
Desired Landscapes, Bloomsbury Walking Tour, 2-4pm
Join Athens-based Desired Landscapes as they take you for a special walk around Bloomsbury exploring the neighbourhood's representation in print throughout history. With archival material, maps and guidebooks, participants will embark on a wander around the area rooted in Desired Landscape's values of everyday observation and playful detail. Register here.
Setareh Noorani, Un-fold-ing structures, 4.30-5.30pm
Listen as Setareh Noorani explores the collective histories underpinning the cities and places we call home. Interrogating the violence of urban renewal and drawing heavily from her collaboration with Imprint participant Matt Plezier (MonoRhetorik), ‘Landscape [02] - Life without Structures’ is a mediation on displacement and memory in the modern city. Register here.
Sunday 1 Dec
We Made That & Afterparti, Rip It Up, again, 1-2pm
Hear We Made That and New Architecture Writers in-conversation about their experiences producing their respective publications, The Unlimited Edition and Afterparti. Through it, they will articulate the importance of setting an agenda for places and architecture through publishing. Sign up here.
Alex De Little, Spatial Listening Workshop, 3-4pm
Sonic artist and researcher Alex De Little will encourage visitors to listen to the spaces around them. The workshop will use the language of sound to frame and reframe space through performative games. In this context, listening becomes the method through which the architecture is understood. Register here.
Imprint will be open to the public on Friday 29 Nov, 6-9pm, Saturday 30 Nov, 11am-7pm and Sunday 1 Dec, 12-5pm.
