Friday 3 May, 1.15pm - 1.45pm
Forest of Fabrication is an exhibition in collaboration between the Building Centre and Stirling Prize-winning practice dRMM, presenting engineered timber as a defining material of 21st Century architecture.
dRMM Director Alex de Rijke focused on the studio’s experience in international collaboration, and what it means to think, design and work in new contexts. Featured projects included Rundeskogen, three tree-like residential towers designed with Norwegian collaborators Helen & Hard, and Market Lands, a timber and glass market hall, mixed-use residential block and public plaza designed with Canadian collaborators 1 x 1 architecture.
This event is part of the Forest of Fabrication exhibition and events programme, curated by the Building Centre exhibitions team and dRMM, and supported by The Built Environment Trust.
