What can we do about the huge city heat resources – from underground or data centres for example - which remain untapped? Are distributed heat networks the answer or would we be better-off looking at smaller-scale local generation? Is there a place for accumulators and heat storage? What will be the impact of the Renewable Heat Incentive and is development of the heat market hampered by the absence of an attractive pricing policy for consumers? The discussion will examine these issues in the context of UK cities in the short and long term.
