Don’t Move, Improve! Open Day

Architects and engineers will be offering free consultations during this open day. There will be talks on how to get started with your home extension, from design inspiration to gaining planning permission; and an exhibition of the capital's best home extensions projects. 

Shortlisted architects from NLA's Don't Move, Improve! 2016 competition will be giving free 25-minute one-to-one consultations to anyone looking for advice on their own home extension - suitable for those who are well underway with a home extension or simply wanting some advice on where to start.  

Talks programme:

12:30-13:30 Design inspiration
Get design inspiration from DMI 2016 architects and clients, from spatial layouts to material palettes.Keynote by Angela Brady, past predisent RIBA, director at Brady Mallalieu Architects and TV broadcaster; ‘Building the Dream’ ITV, ‘The Home Show’ Channel 4 and ‘Designing Ireland’ RTE.

14:30-15:30 Transforming your Home - Practical Advice  
Get practical advice for your renovation project, what must you consider during your home renovation to ensure a safe and successful project?

Style consultations at Heal's 

Heal's will be offering free 30-minute one-to-one consultations with specialists from their styling service. The Heal’s specialists will be available for advice on colour, texture and space planning with a focus on furniture, lighting and textiles.
