Having received an abundance of amazing entries for the Conversations about Climate Change design competition, we are looking forward to the meeting of the judging panel on 2 September.
Our five judges; Adam Brinkworth of Brinkworth, Yinka Ilori of Yinka Ilori Studio, Julia Barfield of Marks Barfield, Andrew Waugh of Waugh Thistleton Architects, and Leah Riley Brown of the British Retail Consortium, will join Vanessa Norwood, creative director of the Building Centre, and David Hopkins, director of the Timber Trade Federation, to deliberate the entries.
The design competition set architects, designers, and craftspeople the challenge of creating ‘climate change conversation pieces’ from responsibly sourced tropical timber. Six winners will be chosen by the panel to have their designs fabricated for the exhibition that will take place at the Building Centre this November.
Stay tuned for the announcement of the winners!
