Join artist-botanist Jane Plowright for an imaginative workshop that mixes art with learning about birds and their connections to the built environment.
A huge number of birds pass through London from September to November on incredible journeys across the world. In this workshop we will look at what species we are likely to see where in London and reflect and think creatively about how our lives and cities touch, diverge and mingle with these very remarkable beings.
Using a mix of information, art and awe we will create a painting on canvas which explores and celebrates the magic of bird migration.
The workshop is suitable for children from 7 to 14 years old.
We will work individually on our paintings which can be taken home at the end of the session.
Parents or guardians are welcome to stay or to drop off (there is a café on site for anybody who wants to remain nearby).
