This ten hour course will offer a thorough introduction to freehand spatial drawing over four evenings. You will develop confidence and learn how to communicate your ideas visually.
Develop your quick hand sketch, learn how to draw lines, basic shapes and three dimensional space and scale. These spatial visualisation skills will evolve by looking at simple objects and understanding how to draw them in space using only lines to describe volume. In the classes you will learn how to draw in proportion and use perspective and projection drawings to plan and put to paper the image in your head, then problem solve through drawing, building visual literacy. This course will improve your confidence to communicate visually, drawing from observation and also from imagination.
All materials will be provided including cartridge paper, pencils and pens, but you can also bring your sketchbook and your favourite pens.
The course is open to all students and is suitable for beginners.
