This day-long session is for built environment professionals who wish to improve their freehand parallel projection drawing and ability to communicate ideas visually. The crash course session can be taken individually or together with the 1 point and 2 point sessions to build a complete course.
During the four hour class, participants will evolve spatial visualisation skills by examining objects, understanding how to draw them in space using only lines to describe volume. Quick hand sketching, lines drawings, shapes and three-dimensional space and scale will also develop as participants learn to draw in proportion.
Perspective and projection drawings will be used to transfer images from imagination and plans to paper, and problem solve through drawing, building visual literacy. Options for how to draw surfaces and a development of personal style will also be discussed.
The session will start with a warm-up, working through the material together with quick sketches. The session will end with a chance to work on a longer and personal drawing of your subject, with one-to-one feedback. All materials and a personal sketchbook will be provided.
Spaces are limited, book now to avoid disappointment.
