The SolShare is the world’s only technology for connecting multiple apartments to a single rooftop solar system. The hardware is added to a traditional solar system to enable it to be connected behind-the-meter to multiple apartments. The installation requires no changes to standard metering infrastructure and can be installed on both new builds and retrofit apartment buildings.
To gain sustainability credits under the new SAP 10 release, the solar system must be connected directly to the apartments. The SolShare provides the solution to this. Furthermore, the SolShare is highly tailorable. The kWp associated to each flat can be determined by the customer to align with their objectives. Often, they will specify a higher kWp to flats that need a bigger boost in their SAP score to achieve a certain EPC rating. Typically, we see between 0.5 - 2.5 kWp specified per flat, which achieves a 15-30% reduction in grid energy usage and consequently CO2 emissions. Providing a simple, affordable and effective solution.
The SolShare achieves such a significant reduction in gird energy use because it delivers each flat’s solar energy when they have demand. This maximises solar consumption and bill savings.
The SolShare can be installed by traditional solar installers after some basic online training. It can therefore, be easily included in tenders.
