Waterproofing for bathrooms and wetrooms
Bathrooms are exposed to significant levels of moisture. All water sources create water vapor that condenses on the walls and floor, and even minor mishaps can release major amounts of moisture.
Water-resistant products are not totally impervious to water, whereas waterproof products keep it out permanently. Therefore, a waterproof base is an essential provision for any bathroom or wetroom.
You can quickly and reliably install a waterproof bonded assembly for tile or natural stone coverings with:

Floor drain options
Schlüter®-KERDI-SHOWER is a floor drain system for the easy installation of a reliable, barrier-free shower. It consists of a levelling board and pre-sloped shower tray, with a low assembly height of just 100mm. The trays can be cut to shape to suit the installation and a number of variants are available to accommodate different drain designs and positionings.
Schlüter-Systems carries drains in two formats. Each drain is designed to enable secure connection to KERDI/bonded waterproofing membranes as part of a complete wetroom system:
- Schlüter®-KERDI-DRAIN is a point drain assembly for the drainage of floor areas. It provides a central point of drainage for water and specifiers have a choice of three grate design variants or a frameless covering support.
- Schlüter®-KERDI-LINE is a linear drain assembly for the drainage of floor areas. It allows for central, offset or perimeter placement within the shower area and offers a choice of three different channel covers or a frameless covering support.
- My Schlüter®-KERDI-LINE is a service offering personalised engraving for linear drains up to 120cm in length, for that extra-special touch.
Profiles
Schlüter®-SHOWERPROFILE offers a range of anodised aluminium and stainless steel profiles specifically designed for use in floor-level showers.
Matching inspection openings
Schlüter®-REMA is a system for creating concealed access panels in wall coverings made of tile. These magnetic openings can be used regardless of tile thickness and size and allow you to maintain the overall aesthetic appearance of the tile design.
