The Rathbone Range of Engineered Oak floors is a very select AB grade European French Oak and was specifically designed for Rathbone Square a Portland Estates development where Lend Lease are the main contractor and Brown and Carroll the specialist carpentry fit out contractor. We worked with Make the Architects, Brown and Carroll and Lend Lease to create the colour and finish on these engineered Oak boards to meet the strict criteria required by them and the client.
Both coloured boards have been fumed to remove the yellow tannins found in oak with a very light fuming on the “Latte” colour and a deep fume on the “Espresso” colour. In fact, you could mix the colours as well if you wanted to be imaginative with a light floor in the middle and a dark border around the outside.
These are meticulously crafted apartments, seamlessly stitched into the heart of London. There are two different widths of boards which can be fitted as two widths or just one.
