We have used a European Oak mixed grade to create a rich dark floor without using illegal mahogany timber, traditionally use for furniture starting in the 1700’s, during the rise of the British Empire. The Oak has been fumed and then finished with 3 coats of coloured oil and then a UV top coat. This parquet floor has a very rich tone and would be perfect for commercial applications as well as residential developments where mahogany wall panels are being used. Brushing removes the softer grain and helps the oil penetrate deeper into the grain which make it very hard wearing.
