Premature corrosion of fittings can be triggered by various aggressive
environmental influences. Up until now there has been no surface
treatment available for fittings technology that could withstand such
increased contaminants.
Internal tests

External tests
Salt spray tests have been carried out and successfully passed 1000 hours without red coloured rust at recognised and accredited testing institutes in accordance with EN ISO 9227, DIN 50021-SS and ASTM-B117-02.
Test report
The MACO TRICOAT fittings have been tested in accordance with grade 5 of the EN 1670 standard since the beginning of 2008 (= highest grade in this standard).
