The Brimstone range is produced by thermally modifying fast growing British hardwoods to produce durable, stable and consistent timber products that are ideally suited to exterior cladding applications. The Brimstone range includes ash, poplar and sycamore.
The majority of modified ash on the market is from either the US or Eastern Europe. Brimstone ash is produced exclusively from managed British woodlands, certified under the GIB licensing scheme. The majority of these woodlands are within 100 miles of our sawmills in Wiltshire.
Brimstone ash has a well-defined grain and is relatively knot free, making it an excellent alternative to tropical timbers and other imported timbers such as Canadian western red cedar.
Brimstone ash is also well suited to decking and external joinery applications.
