Gravity roof drainage is used in traditional newbuild or refurbishment projects. Siphonic roof drainage creates a flow rate approximately 3—5 times higher than in a gravity system. This means that a larger roof area can be drained by fewer roof drains connected to one pipe string in smaller diameter than that required for the gravity system.
