The ALTA 3000-1FR is a 1 hour fire rated loft hatch, typically used in residential properties to provide permanent access between 50mm wide timber truss/joisted plaster/plasterboard ceilings, where access to the loft space is required.
Specify options for frame edge profile and locking to suit the application.

COMPOSITION
The metal frame holds a flush metal door through adjustable hinges to one side.
The door opens down towards the user and can be removed during installation or if damage occurs. Door is held closed with lock (see below)

FRAME
1.2mm thick electro-galvanised mild steel, incorporating either a simulated dry wall edge bead or picture frame profile.
- Rubber foam compressible dust seals fitted all round
- White powder coated primer suitable for finishing on site
- Adjustable hinges maintain a 2mm gap between the door and frame
DOOR
0.9mm thick, electro-galvanised mild steel flush-faced tray
- The door is lined with foil-backed mineral wool insulation.
- White powder coat primer suitable for finishing on site.
- Single door (SD) configuration only
- Door opens downward towards the user
- Removable door during installation or if damage occurs
FRAME EDGE
The ALTA 3000 fire rated series is available with a choice of two frame edge profiles to suit your application;
- Beaded frame (BF)
The beaded frame edge profile is suitable for ceilings where the panel is being installed prior to any tape and jointing or skim-coat plastering.
- Picture frame (PF)
The picture frame edge profile is suitable for retro-fit to ceilings where the panel is being installed after finishing work is complete. The panel is factory finished powder coated in matt RAL 9010 white for finishing on site.
LOCKS
The door is held closed by a lock. Locks are concealed on the rear of the door but operated from the front face. 3000-1FR is available with;
- Budget lock (BL)
Budget lock (T bar key included), economy steel lock supplied with White plastic bung cover.
- Security lock (SL)
Security key lock (keys included) with Chrome escutcheon to door face for captive key entry.
FIRE RATING
The ALTA 3000-1FR access panel has a 1 hour fire rating.
