Durisol UK manufactures reinforced wall formwork systems made from Durisol, a cement bonded, recycled wood material with thermal, acoustic and fire protection properties. The systems are suitable for above and below ground, in residential, commercial, industrial or agricultural building applications.
Wall form units are offered as interlocking modular blocks, which are dry-stacked without mortar, and filled with concrete and reinforcing steel to create a strong and durable monolithic construction. Wall form units are available in a variety of widths and insulation configurations to create bespoke systems.
Durisol formwork has been used worldwide for over 50 years, surviving hot and humid climates, natural and man- made disasters such as bombs, fire and hurricanes, without loss of performance.
Durisol is a cement bonded wood fibre material which uses processed recycled wood making it completely inert. Durisol is environmentally safe, does not contain or emit any toxic elements. It is fully recyclable.
Interior and exterior finishes can be applied directly to Durisol, eliminating subsequent steps in the construction process. Drywall can be attached anywhere on the wall surface, and the open-textured nature of the hardened Durisol makes it an ideal substrate for plasters and stuccos.
