Wienerberger – the leading provider of wall, roof and landscaping innovations – has launched a second edition of its ‘Porotherm Best Practice Guide’, to support the use of the modern clay block walling system. The guide, which was created for architects, engineers and technical managers, features a wealth of information, illustrating the ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ to consider when using the product to assist those utilising the Porotherm Clay Walling System.
The first guide was mainly focused around two storey housing, however, considering the considerable growth experienced in the areas where the Porotherm system is now employed the guide needed to reflect this. For example, the new guide now includes updated and reworked sections on such things as fixings and a greater in depth segment relating to concrete plank placement in order to coincide with the changing demands in the industry.
Jason Thorne, Porotherm Technical Manager at Wienerberger, said:
“The original Best Practice Guide still very much sticks to the brief of being a very informative, highly pictorial, user manual to ensure projects get the most out of the Porotherm system on site. I feel with the new look, plus the additional content, the guide will be useful in many areas and more popular than it’s ever been.”
Individuals looking to get more from the system will be able to order a hardback copy of the guide or download a version via Wienerberger’s website: https://wienerberger.co.uk/about-us/porotherm-best-practice-guide
