Wienerberger, the world’s largest brick manufacturer, was honoured to receive the Fortis Brick Supplier of the Year 2017 award at the merchant group’s 2018 Building and Timber Conference on the 21st May 2018 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel.
Fortis is the UK’s leading independent merchant buying group, representing 41 nationwide companies with approximately 380 branches between them. The biannual conference was attended by both merchants and suppliers who also participated in Meet the Merchant networking sessions.
The awards dinner and presentation were hosted by writer and comedian Hugh Dennis, star of Mock the Week and Outnumbered. Hugh presented the Brick Supplier of the Year award to Wienerberger’s Head of Merchant Sales, Nick Rudham.
This is the second time that Wienerberger has been selected as Brick Supplier of the Year, as the company received the same honour at the 2016 Fortis conference.
