The distinctive new building has been clad with Ward IP1000 and secret-fix DW1000 insulated wall panels in stunning Aztec yellow, creating a distinctive appearance for the latest Alligator secure self storage warehouse situated on the Coventry Road (A45). Ward IP1000 trapezoidal roof panels in contrasting Goosewing grey complete the picture to provide 6500m² of secure storage space for the company, which has premises across the UK.
Specified by main contractor Partitioning Services Ltd and erected by Swinson Contractors, the big yellow storage warehouse has created a vibrant splash of colour on the Birmingham landscape.
Contractor Steve Swinson, said: “The Ward insulated roof and wall panels provide a great visual effect and have the added benefit of no interstitial condensation and other problems associated with built-up systems, coupled with the fast installation time.”
As well as providing an eye-catching and colourful facade the Ward composite cladding was specified because of its excellent insulation performance, imperative for the secure storage unit to maintain its 10ºC temperature needed to protect customers’ cherished belongings.
All Ward Ecosafe metal faced composite panels are Green Guide ‘A’ rated and incorporate a Firesafe Polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation core with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (Zero ODP). They are also covered by the WardSure Warranty, a comprehensive warranty package covering all key performance areas of the product and have LPCB fire certification.
