The Arup visualisation team produced a five-minute video explaining the developments to the CERN campus masterplan in Geneva, Switzerland. The site was filmed using a remote-controlled unmanned aerial vehicle (also known as a ‘drone’). This provided highquality base footage for computer-generated images of the proposed buildings to be composited into. The proposed buildings are identified using motion graphics and are cross-faded into the original video.

Techniques include camera matching, modelling, compositing and editing using Autodesk 3DS Max, Andersson Technologies Syntheyes, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere.
