With the Jubilee and the Olympics been and gone, last year every company worth its salt shamelessly donned the union jack whilst referring to themselves as ‘The Best of British’; from cushion covers to cat biscuits there was a mass rebranding throughout the year as advertising agencies across the land attempted to gear their products towards a newly patriotic Britain and a revived love of the monarchy.
The renaissance of the monarchy and British pride, no thanks to our less than breathtaking attempt at the Eurovision last year, flourished with the gift of an extra bank holiday and a four day long carnival in the centre of London.
