An aerial animation of the hybrid bill design of the High Speed Two Limited (HS2) route from Birmingham to London has been created by Arup. The proposed railway line was flown over by a manned helicopter and a coordinated three-dimensional model was then camera-matched with a virtual camera, rendered and composited over the original footage.

Custom interactive visualisations were built to view photomontages of locations where it was considered there could be significant visual impact. The scheme was represented in various scenarios, from year 1 to year 15 and during construction.
