Steadmans products were the choice of Cheadle-based Holward Construction, the architect, installer and main contractor for the speculative project in New Haden Road. The development features units measuring from 2,200 sq m to 5,000 sq m.
The roofs and walls of the units incorporate 3,400 lin metres of Steadmans AS35 insulated panels, 80mm and 60mm thick respectively, finished in Dobel Nova grey mist, with merlin grey flashings. The company also supplied matching rooflights, flashings and fixings from its extensive range of ancillary products.
Dobel Nova is a coating system, providing a tough, dirt-repellent finish and superior colour properties that is guaranteed for up to 30 years. It is also environmentally-friendly and 100 per cent recyclable. Steadmans states that Dobel Nova provides outstanding value.
Andy Ward, Holward Construction director, said: “This was the first time I’d worked with Steadmans and I found them first class from beginning to end. They were very competitive on price, took the time to listen, supplied products which were spot-on and all site deliveries were on-time.
“Throughout the project the Steadmans staff I dealt with were always friendly and helpful. The organisation is excellent at what it does and I’ve already recommended them to others. I believe the appearance and quality of the building envelopes is a major reason why there’s been a healthy level of interest in these buildings.”
With a life expectancy of up to 40 years, Steadmans AS35 insulated panels are available in a wide range of colours and finishes and can be specified in thicknesses to aid compliance with the latest L2 regulations. The panels are also Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) approved and are supported by a full range of matching ancillaries including gutters, flashings, rooflights and fixings.
