Scolmore Group’s Inceptor Micro Integrated LED Downlights have been installed as part of a much-needed renovation project undertaken at a beautiful listed building in Exeter, which is home to the South West Multiple Sclerosis Centre.
As a self-funding charity, with no financial assistance from any statutory body, the Centre relies completely on charitable donations and was delighted to benefit from the voluntary involvement and support of local businesses to provide valuable repair and maintenance work.
A key priority for the project is to make the building as cost-efficient to run as possible and the use of the Inceptor low energy LED downlights will play a vital role in reducing costs due to its energy efficiency and 30,000 hour LED lifetime. Inceptor Micro is a fire-rated, integrated LED downlight with a high-powered, compact, pre-wired driver and flow connector. The compact size of the driver means they can be fitted into a very shallow recess depth of just 50mm – making them some of the most flexible fittings currently available. They come with a choice of Fixed and Adjustable Bezels.
Scolmore has integrated its popular Flow Connectors into the product, which will make it quick and easy to install as well as to remove and replace for the purpose of circuit testing and for retrofits. The fitting is IP44 rated when using the Fixed Bezel option.
The South West MS Centre has been established for 32 years in the grade II listed building and provides vital support and assistance to people from across Devon and Somerset who are living with MS and other chronic conditions. The Inceptor Micro downlights have been installed in all areas of the building, which houses a number of therapy rooms providing a range of therapies including hyperbaric oxygen, electro-magnetic treatment and physiotherapy.
