After being awarded a UK patent for the innovative construction and pioneering thermal efficiency of its PURe® aluminium windows and doors in 2016, leading manufacturer Senior Architectural Systems has spent the last three years making its market-leading range of low U-value solutions bigger and better.
Unlike other aluminium systems available, Senior’s PURe® aluminium windows and doors feature an enhanced thermal barrier manufactured from expanded polyurethane foam (PUR). Traditionally used in cladding and insulation products, the innovative use of PUR as a thermal barrier in windows and doors gives the PURe® range the potential to offer exceptional thermal performance and ultra low U-values.
PURe® aluminium windows
The first of the range to be launched, Senior’s PURe® aluminium windows are available in a choice of styles and configurations from casement and tilt and turn to reversible overswing. With the potential to achieve U-values as low as 0.71W/m2 K when calculated as a commercial CEN standard window, the PURe® aluminium window system can also help reduce heating costs and carbon calculations. This has led to the system being widely specified across the sectors, with significant repeat business secured in both the education and PRS (private rented sector) markets.
PURe® aluminium doors
The success of the PURe® aluminium window across both the commercial and residential sectors has been matched by the popularity of Senior’s stylish and versatile PURe® aluminium patio doors. Offering U-values as low as 0.93W/m2 K when calculated as a CEN standard door, the PURe® door range includes two attractive styles which are ideal for the residential sector – PURe® FOLD and PURe® SLIDE.
Suitable for a wide range of applications, the PURe® FOLD doors can be specified as single, double and folding sliding doors. The stunning PURe® SLIDE inline sliding doors are also available with a triple-track option, which enables all three door panels to slide to maximise the sense of light and space and achieve wider views, larger openings and beautiful full length sliding glass walls.
New PURe® Commercial Door
The latest addition to the PURe® range has seen Senior develop its largest and strongest door to date to provide a full range of solutions for specifiers working on a variety of different projects.
Benefiting from the same sleek slim sightlines and patented PUR thermal break as Senior’s popular PURe® aluminium windows and patio doors, the new PURe® Commercial Door provides a secure and efficient solution for medium and high traffic areas where frequent access is required.
Designed to perform up to a maximum leaf size of 1400mm x 3000m and 180Kg, the robust PURe® Commercial door system can achieve U-Values as low as 0.94 W/m2 K when calculated as a CEN Standard door and is able to receive double or triple glazing from 28-60mm for maximum thermal and acoustic performance.
