The Prince of Wales’ model town Poundbury, in Dorset, has developed its own approach to mixing tenure over more than 20 years. Private and rented housing are meant to be indistinguishable in design, all being contained within a strong masterplan and aesthetic led by Leon Krier (who designed this recently completed apartment block).
