Polyflor donates flooring to Hollins Village Community Centre

8 Aug 2016
Case study

Polyflor, the UK's commercial and residential vinyl flooring specialist, recently donated heavy duty sheet vinyl flooring to Hollins Village Community Centre in Bury as part of their commitment to supporting the local community.

High performance homogeneous vinyl floorcovering from the XL PU collection in the Turquiose shade was supplied free of charge by Polyflor and installed in the community centre’s refurbished “Jubilee Room”. Polysafe Mosaic PUR safety flooring in Freshwater was also used to cover a set of steps in the community centre.

Situated close to Polyflor’s Whitefield manufacturing plant, Hollins Village Community Centre hosts a variety of events for children and adults in the area, including play group on week days and performing arts school, dog training class and karate club in the evenings.

Sarah Coverdale from the Hollins Village Community Centre Committee commented, “We were delighted to receive the flooring donation from Polyflor which helped us hugely with our refurbishment project. The floor is doing a great job of keeping up with the many different activities we hold here for the community.”

With a choice of 18 attractive shades in a marbleised decoration, Polyflor XL PU is available in 1.5mm and 2mm gauges. XL PU also features a specially formulated polyurethane surface treatment reducing life cycle maintenance costs by up to 24% by improving the soil resistance and cleanability of the floor.

The XL PU flooring range contains 25% recycled content, is 100% recyclable through the Recofloor vinyl take back scheme and has been individually certificated with a BRE Global A+ rating for major use areas. Product samples can be ordered free of charge on the Polyflor website or by calling the Polyflor Samples Direct Hotline on 0161 767 2551.
