Perkins engines site in Stafford now have two MHG Procon HT boilers installed on their new engine bay test rig.
The boilers supply heat to two heater batteries which then blow heated air through ducts into the very large diesel engines manufactured by Perkins.
The rig allows varying air temperatures to be fed into the engines, simulating different engine operating conditions experienced throughout the world.
A Procon HT 225 master and a Procon 150 slave boiler were used in the installation, with the master unit providing full cascade of the boiler modules and control of the circulating pumps.
The project was installed by 'Envirosound' specialist engineers based in Hook, Hampshire.
