The new Notre Dame Catholic College was the first of eight schools in the first< phase of an investment program carried out by Liverpool City Council as part of their “Liverpool Schools Concept”. This new school designed by architects Sheppard Robson was constructed as a large shell space which allows the interior to be adapted to the individual requirements of the college throughout the lifetime of the building. In the case of Notre Dame College the following outstanding facilities were created; a performance area, including a drama and dance studio, a learning Resource Centre, six science laboratories, five computer rooms and a music technology suite.
