Non-allergic acoustics

Troldtekt’s acoustic ceiling panels have been awarded the coveted ‘Allergy Friendly Product Certificate’. This has been given by Allergy UK, the leading national charity dedicated to supporting the estimated 21 million allergy sufferers in the UK.

The only ceiling panel on the market boasting such important recognition, Troldtekt acoustic panels have received the Award because they not only provide excellent sound absorption in all types of building but also a healthy indoor climate because the panels do not contain any harmful materials or potential allergens. In order to receive the recognition, a product has to be assessed by Allergy UK’s panel of advisors as well as an allergy expert in order to confirm its suitability. This is particularly important because the panels are regularly specified for high traffic areas, such as in schools, sports halls, swimming pools, public buildings and retail environments.

Danish manufactured Troldtekt tiles are made from 100% natural wood fibres. Their benefits include high sound absorption, high durability and natural breathability coupled with low cost life cycle performance and sustainability. They are available in various sizes and three grades, from ultrafine to coarse, and can be installed unpainted or painted in virtually any RAL colour.

In addition to the Allergy UK award, Troldtekt acoustic panels have also been certified in ‘best’ categories by the Danish Indoor Climate Labelling and the Finnish Indoor Air Association (category M1). Troldtekt’s sustainability was also recently recognised with certification at Silver level within the Cradle to Cradle concept. This international certification has been achieved because the panels do not contain hazardous substances and can also be recycled.
