The ‘Installing a plastic guttering system’ video shows how to safely remove the existing system before achieving the correct fall, spacing brackets, allowing for expansion and ensuring a secure fixing. As plastic pipes expand and contract, it’s important to compensate for that. Another video highlights the importance of correct installation to allow for gutter and downpipe expansion.
Two additional videos have been uploaded to provide guidance on how to protect the system in the long term. The first one demonstrates how to install leaf guards to prevent inconvenient blockages and damage, whilst another video shows how to add a rainwater diverter kit in order to channel rainwater from the downpipe into the water butt.
