A regeneration project that will see a Newcastle office block brought back to life as a city centre hotel is set to offer its guests an ample supply of hot water on tap after four ECOflo Andrews Water Heaters have been installed.
Due to open this spring, the 160-room Newcastle hotel is located opposite Central Station, which itself is undergoing a multi-million pound make-over.
Each ECOflo water heater offers a capacity of 380 litres, ensuring there will be a large amount of hot water storage to support periods of peak demand. Fast recovery rates of up to 1,900 litres per hour make the ECOflo ideal for hotels and other large commercial properties where there is constant high demand for hot water.
Featuring a downward firing burner for improved heat transfer, the specially designed three pass heat exchanger gives a gross efficiency of up to 98%, while horizontal and vertical flueing options make installation easy.
The product meets the requirements of the Ecodesign (ErP) Directive, which comes into force in September 2015. The water heaters were installed by one of the largest mechanical engineers in the North East, Malone Mechanical Services, also based in Newcastle.
Steve Malone, part of the third generation that owns and runs Malones, said: “We’ve worked with Andrews Water Heaters for many years. The range of products they offer and the after service they provide mean that they are our first choice every time.”
