At Canary Wharf underground station on the Jubilee Line, 16 critical fire rated doors have been refurbished to ensure compliance with the latest fire standards for fire safety doors. Glass Aftercare provided critical bespoke parts and worked closely with the client Canary Wharf Management Ltd to ensure no operational disruptions and much of the work was completed over weekend periods. The results have delighted the client.
When DHL, the world's leading logistics company, decided to relocate from thier HQ in Feltham after a 14 year tenure, the building had to be restored to its original specification. Monaghans, the renowned multi-disciplinary building consultancy acting on behalf of DHL, selected Glass Aftercare to undertake a complete audit and evaluation of the building's existing doors and windows.
As a result, Glass Aftercare designed, manufactured and installed bespoke windows and doors for the building including specialist double glazed units for the external façade. Many of the building's entrance doors were also fully refurbished to the latest specification. Another great challenge the Glass Aftercare team was to match glass speciation and colours which the company did to great effect. The company worked closely with main contractor TJ Hall, the leading construction, refurbishment and fit out specialists, to ensure all worked was completed to agreed time scales and budget.
