New cottage pane steel windows and doors for Arts and Crafts London home

11 Jun 2024
Case study

The owners of this early 20th century home in London’s Hampstead Garden Suburb chose Clement to carefully replace their existing windows and doors. Being in a Conservation Area the new fenestration needed to look similar to the original windows and doors, but of course have the benefit of an improved specification. All the work carried out was done with the approval of the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust.

The Brooking range, with genuine T bars and classic Fenestra joints, was used for the windows and the doors were manufactured from W20 steel profiles. Accessorised with Boleyn and Kensington handles, these were painted to match the frames.

Our client was really pleased with the result and said:

"We used Clement to install a number of windows as well as French doors leading on to our garden. From first contact, through initial discussions, detailed design, site visits, delivery and installation, everyone was efficient and polite. Everything went like clockwork. Nothing was too much. Throughout the project, we were kept regularly informed of progress and they actually delivered and completed installation six weeks ahead of schedule. We had a minor query after installation which they fixed within 24 hours. What could be better! True professionalism. We are left with a brilliant product. Highly recommended."
