The Preston-based company is starting 2011 with one of its fullest order books in its 20 year history, and in the past month alone has added additional contracts to design, supply and install catering facilities for four schools as sub-contractor to Laing O’Rourke and Balfour Beaty, and the consultancy for a new 500 cover restaurant- all new customers.
The new orders cover newbuild and refurbishment projects, in the hospitality, leisure, healthcare and education sectors. They range from a £20,000 school kitchen refurbishment through tourist attractions to an award-winning inn. Observes Paul Neville, CHR Equipment Sales Director, “It is interesting that the majority of our orders are from new customers, and range in size from £20,000 up to £¼m+. It demonstrates that our reputation for delivering profitable solutions, on time and within budget, regardless of scale, is speaking for itself. We are winning business from companies with several divisions, where we have already had dealings with one and are now being referred into others.”
A family-run business, CHR’s portfolio to date includes projects such as Lancashire County Cricket Club, several Michelin star restaurants, Cadbury World, and staff restaurants for Next; the company has won CEDA (Catering Equipment Distributors Association) national awards for its work, two years in succession, demonstrating its consistency and quality.
