Low profile roof windows for enhanced visual aesthetic

20 Jan 2016
Case study

Phase one of the restoration and extension of the Larbert House and Country Estate near Falkirk has seen former stables converted using 46 FAKRO roof windows in conservation style. Top hung and pivot FAKRO FPP-V/C U3 windows with ELJ/C flashings were used so that installation could be achieved low within the natural slate roofline. This will greatly enhance the visual aesthetic of the Georgian sandstone buildings while new home owners will have scope to switch window opening from centre pivot to top hung mode simply by use of a switch in the frame.
