As 2020 draws to a close, we’re all looking for ways to make the last few months count—safely and efficiently. MEDITE SMARTPLY has recently developed three ideal products for large scale roofing in record time: SMARTPLY ULTIMA OSB4, SMARTPLY MAX OSB3 and SMARTPLY MAX FR B OSB3, which is flame retardant.
All lightweight, structurally sound panels, they are specialised in that they can be made longer and wider—up to 2.8m wide by 7.5m long—ideal for covering extensive meterage in less time, allowing projects to progress faster even with fewer workers on site.
Using state of the art ContiRoll® technology—the continuous pressing of wood strands—makes each board ideal not only for quality traditional building on the double, but for uses within offsite building too.
These strong, versatile boards are suitable for structural use in humid conditions (service Class 1 and 2), and are suitable for flooring, hoarding and wall sheathing, as well as roofing.
In particular, SMARTPLY MAX FR B is developed especially for applications which demand a fire-rated product. It’s treated during manufacturing with Zeroignition® technology, so each individual wood strand is treated before pressing, making fire performance integral and extremely reliable to Euroclass B standard, and its CE mark won’t be affected by cutting.
