Leading fenestration designer and manufacturer Senior Architectural Systems is making itself at home in the London residential market after providing a stylish glazing package for a new development in the borough of Bow.
Comprising a mixture of affordable residential apartments and commercial accommodation, the new Merchant Walk scheme has been developed by Peabody Housing Association. Working alongside main contractor Galliford Try, with whom Senior has an established trading agreement, leading fabricator and installer Denval Ltd was appointed to deliver the scheme’s glazing package which features Senior’s SPW600e windows and SF52 aluminium curtain walling.
With energy efficiency a key requirement, Senior’s thermally efficient SF52 curtain wall and SPW600e windows were the ideal choice and perfectly complement the scheme’s attractive façade of brick and feature timber clad balconies.
Located close to the Devons Road DLR station and offering convenient transport links to the city, Merchant Walk is the latest residential scheme in London to feature Senior’s range of high performance fenestration systems. Senior has previously been specified for use on The Signal Building, a 22-storey tower in the heart of Elephant & Castle, and The Pavilions in Tottenham Hale, which has become one of the first developments in the capital to feature Senior’s patented PURe® aluminium window system that has the potential to some of the lowest U-values available on the UK market.
