Kingspan Access Floors has gained the BS OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard to add to its ISO 9001 quality standard and ISO 14001 environmental standard.
To gain accreditation, a two-day pre-audit was followed up with a four-day audit assessment. This was a comprehensive appraisal of Kingspan’s health and safety management system, covering the manufacturing facility in Hull and the installation of over 29,000 sq m of floor panels at the prestigious 52-storey Leadenhall Building in London.
Kingspan Health & Safety Adviser Iain Gillyon said: “We are delighted to have gained OHSAS 18001 to add to our two ISO standards and the Achilles BuildingConfidence accreditation. OHSAS 18001 is an important standard because it demonstrates that we take health and safety very seriously and that we are always looking to continually improve our business.”
